Dear Student,
Let me outline the 2 things which make our school unique.
1. All the students and teachers (and our family) live
together. It is a supportive, stimulating and exciting
environment. This means :-
There are always interesting people and conversations to get
involved with. There are always activities going on - parties,
walks, talks, homework, plays, barbecues.....
You can be yourself.
You can be as independent or as involved as you wish.
You don't waste time or money travelling.
You don't waste time or money trying to make contact with
people.
You have immediate, personal contact with other teachers,
students and staff.
You are part of a big family where you meet people from all
over the world and make friends for life.
And, most importantly, you will hear and speak only
English, all day, every day.
2. The school is beautifully situated - on the shore of a
lake and surrounded by mountains.
You live in the grounds of the school.
You can walk in any direction from the front door and the
landscape is magnificent.
You live in a cottage once owned by one of England's most
famous Romantic authors.
You live in the centre of the Lake District National Park -
often described as the most beautiful comer
of England.
You live in the centre of a busy tourist destination with all
the facilities you'd expect: cinemas, theatres,
music, clubs, restaurants, sports centres and shops.
You are less than 2 hours from Manchester Airport.
We would be delighted to have you study here with us.
You can begin on any Sunday .
We English Languages in the Lakes, School of
English, work in partnership with Mitsuba Associates
who assist our Japanese clients. We consider them to be
effective and able to assist you in your application.
I look forward to hearing from you. With
regards,
Tim Melling
