Dear Students,
We, The Regency School of English, work in partnership with Mitsuba
Associates. We provide you with the most effective, professional and caring learning experience whilst

The Regency School of English is different. Why?.......... Because it is a Language Centre and 100 room School-Hotel in the same building where you can meet together evenings and weekends.
Our School was established in 1957 and has a long history and great expertise in the teaching of English as a foreign language. We offer a range of high quality courses and associated services for teenagers and adults of all ages at affordable prices.
We are extremely proud that our school is housed in a large, elegant, floodlit building, facing the English Channel and dominating the
cliff-top of Western Ramsgate, Kent. and yet just five minutes walk from the centre.
Kent is affectionately known as 'The Garden of England", but according to the Financial Times, it has the potential to be The front garden of the UK facing the rest of Europe' -so what better place to choose to study English? Ramsgate itself is a small, seaside resort with approximately 50,000 inhabitants, offering sandy beaches, scenic views, an exciting night life, a casino, pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops and an amusement park. It is ideally located with easy transport links to London, Canterbury, and Rochester and, with the Channel Tunnel or Eurostar (via Ashford), France and Belgium.
The atmosphere of the School is very friendly, both during study hours and in social activities, whilst our small, intensive groups ensure personal attention and excellent progress. Most students cite the friendliness of The Regency as their main reason for recommending us - and for coming back!
The school possesses a wide variety of teaching aids and materials, including video recorders, overhead projectors, tape recorders, wall charts, visual aids, up-to-date authentic texts etc, but our greatest teaching assets are our well-trained experienced and helpful staff.
The school has 100 bedrooms, 30 classrooms, a language laboratory, self access centre, internet/e-mail facilities, study room, large restaurant, swimming-pool, coffee bar, TV room, games room, laundry, school shop (selling confectionery, toiletries, text books, stationery etc) bar, disco and late night snack bar.
The Regency School organises a varied activities programme for all students, whatever their age, interest and length of stay. The programme includes 'Welcome' receptions, video films, treasure hunts, table tennis competitions, fun quizzes, bowling, karaoke, discos, parties and of course, weekend and half day excursions to places of interest such as Canterbury, London, Leeds Castle, Oxford etc..
The School is a non-profit making Educational Charity, so that all the monies we receive as fees are used to improve the School. This is the reason why our charges are exceptionally low and such good value.
