Colchester
Situated on the east
coast, it is Englands oldest town, founded by the
Romans. It is close to London, only 45 minutes, yet has
retained the intimacy and atmosphere of a country town.
It provides good shopping and entertainment yet a short
journey will take you to the peaceful and beautiful
countryside painted by John Constable.
