Burlington School of English
Dear Student
Burlington School is one of London's most popular English as a
Foreign Language schools. We are located in the prestigious
Fulham area of London, close to the River Thames and only 15
minutes from the centre of London. We are pleased to be
working with Mitsuba Associates, who will help you to
make your choice the correct one. We highly recommend their
service.
In our large, self-contained building, the classrooms are
spacious and well-equipped. Excellent instruction is provided
in General English courses of 15, 20 or 25 hours per week.
Burlington School also offers specialist courses including
Business English, University Preparation English, British
Culture Studies and internationally-recognised examination
courses, such as Cambridge , IELTS and TOEFL. We also have
courses in writing skills, English for teachers, medical
English and for young people under 16 years of age. Our school
library has free e-mail and internet (ADSL), a self-access
centre and there is a large coffee bar as well as a listening
centre. Please note: we also welcome groups of students - just
ask Mitsuba for information,
The school is close to most of London's landmarks and a short
Underground journey from the Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
Many students live within walking distance of the school in
one of our homestays. We have been working with most of our
families for many years and they have all been visited by a
representative of the school. We have a full-time
Accommodation & Welfare Officer who is always available to
look after your accommodation and personal needs.
Burlington offers an active and varied social programme and
our friendly staff are always available to deal with any
student problems or requests. There are London-based events on
weekdays and excursions within England and to the Continent at
weekends.
Finally, and important for the serious student, there is a
good nationality mix (about 40), so there is plenty of
opportunity to practise English. Do ask Mitsuba's
representatives if you have any questions, or do not see a
course you would like - they will always try to find a
programme which suits your needs. We look forward to meeting
you!
Best wishes
Shane McGing
