Meridian School of English
Dear Student,
We are the Meridian School of English in Portsmouth, UK. We
work in partnership with Mitsuba Associates who help our
Japanese students to find and enrol for the best and most
suitable English language course for them. You can rely on the
team of Mitsuba Associates and Meridian to do a good job for you.
Our school is situated in Southsea which is the holiday
part of Portsmouth, on the south coast of England, 100 km.
from London. We are in a quiet residential area near shops,
restaurants, amusements, public transport and the university.
We are a small school with small classes, usually about
five or six students to a class and a strict maximum of ten.
We usually have about 35 to 40 students in our school so we
have time to give personal attention to each student and to
look after his or her studies and welfare.
Although we are small we have the equipment of a larger
school, such as computers, video and self-access facilities
with language laboratory listening units. Students have
unlimited free access to e-mail and the internet. You can send
and receive e-mails in Japanese too!
If you want to take an exam we run classes for the
Cambridge First Certificate and the IELTS and, when their
English is good enough, we are happy to help students find and
apply for a further education course in a university or
college.
