So, why choose to study at inlingua Cheltenham? Cheltenham is a beautiful English country town situated at the foot of the Cotswoid Hills - one of the most beautiful rural areas in England. With a population of 106,000 inhabitants, Cheltenham has the atmosphere of being a quiet rural English town but with all the amenities of a city. Located just 30 metres from the High Street, it is the perfect location for access to buses, shops, restaurants and pubs.
Due to its geographical location, Cheltenham is the ideal town for you to explore surrounding rural villages, towns, famous landmarks and cities such as London (only 2 hours from Cheltenham), Oxford, Stratford Upon Avon, Bath, Stonehenge and the Cotswolds.
At inlingua Cheltenham, you have the opportunity to consolidate your learning and exposure to English life, culture and, of course, the English language, by living with an English family. There are very few language schools in Cheltenham which means, we can provide you with an excellent selection of local host families.
Cheltenham is a recognised centre for the arts, with three excellent theatres, regular concerts, international music and literature festivals. We have a varied and popular social programme which is designed to help you learn as much as possible about English life and culture. You are invited to go to English pubs, see English music, theatre and cinema with your teachers and fellow students. Every Saturday there is a - full-day excursion, for example, to London, Wales, Bath or Oxford. We also organise regular 2 day excursions to other parts of Britain, including the beautiful Lake District, North Wales, Devon and Cornwall.
We have a self access centre where you can send emails, search the internet and study independently. Every week you will meet with your teacher to discuss your progress, the course, your welfare etc. Remember, you are our number one priority! A strict 'English only' policy ensures that you make maximum progress during your stay in England. Between 10% and 20% of the students at inlingua Cheltenham are British or American people studying on our internationally recognised teacher training programmes which means that you have more contact with native speakers. You are invited to attend extra free lessons with trainee teachers.
