International School
Dear Student
Welcome to the International School. We are one of the oldest-established schools of English in the
world and our school occupies one of the finest campus locations in Britain. Exeter was recently
voted "best city in England for quality of life" and it is a pleasant, friendly and safe place to live
and study. Here at the International School we have students from all over the world all year round.
Some come for short courses, some for a full year and we help all of them to learn English fast and
well.
The School offers a Multimedia Centre with 18 computers exclusively for student use with free
access to the Internet and e-mails. We have a fully computerised Language Laboratory and
Listening Centre as well as a Library, Coffee Shop, Student rooms and fine gardens with a mini
golf putting course. Our staff are all professionals and we have helped over 50,000 students to
improve their English over the years. But we are not an enormous, impersonal place where students
are "numbers". Every student is treated as an individual and we have excellent systems in place to
ensure that you get the most out of your stay here. And our Social staff will ensure that you enjoy
yourselves while you are here too.
Above all we can offer really excellent homestay accommodation with families who are all
personally known to us. Unlike some of the better-known cities Exeter has remained very English
and is never too crowded with foreign students. Living with one of our selected families (and you
always have a single room without any other students from your country in the same house) is the
very best way to experience British culture, make new friends and really learn the language.
As a serious school we have chosen to work in partnership with
Mitsuba Associates. We provide
you with the most effective, professional and caring learning experience whilst
Mitsuba Associates can advise and assist you in making your choice the correct one. Together we can ensure that you
get exactly the right course for you!
