| Exeter Academy Dear Student
We, the Exeter Academy School of English, work in partnership
with Mitsuba Associates. While we provide you with an
effective and professional English Language Course in a small,
friendly, caring school, Mitsuba Associates can offer you the
best advice and assistance in making the correct choice of
school.
The School:
The Exeter Academy was founded in 1978 with the aim of
providing quality English Language Courses to adult students
only in a friendly, caring atmosphere. That aim has not
changed over the past 24 years. We are a small school (average
40 students rising to a maximum of 60 in the summer months)
and because we are small, each student receives personal care
and attention at all times and there is also a very close
relationship between staff and students.
The Courses:
We offer a wide range of courses - General English,
Examination Courses, Combination Courses (part group lessons,
part one-to-one lessons) and Individual Courses. We are very
flexible and it is possible to change from one course to
another during your stay. You can start your course any
Monday.
Host family:
All our students stay with English host families who provide
breakfast, pack lunch and dinner on weekdays and all meals at
the weekend. All our families are within walking distance of
school and many of then have been looking after our students
for many years.
The City:
The school is situated in a quiet residential area of Exeter
with wonderful views to the sea and over the city. Exeter is a
historic Roman city with a beautiful cathedral and a large
university. It is the capital of Devon and is an important
administrative and business centre. It is a clean, quiet and
very safe city and has also been voted 'Number 1 City in
England for Quality of Life'.
