We provide top-quality English language tuition for
learners of all ages who want to improve their English while
enjoying a great cultural experience in a beautiful setting.
We work with Mitsuba Associates who will give you
advice and assistance with your application.
The school was founded in 1969 and is situated in the heart
of the Old Town, between the castle and the Royal Palace.
There are two teaching centres, both historic buildings which
have been transformed to provide bright well equipped
classrooms and common rooms, with ample space for teaching,
study and resources.
At ESE we train you to use language - not just to perform
in the classroom. We concentrate on giving you the confidence
to deal with English speakers in any situation.
Our General English classes for adults are very small
indeed, with only 5 to 9 students per class. In these small
classes, we build up your confidence by encouraging you to
talk to each other, as well as to the teacher, in a natural
and spontaneous way.
We have a wide range of other courses, including executive,
EAP, ESP, methodology and young learners.
Small classes, integrated programme, professional teachers
and a Scottish welcome all combine to help us achieve our aim
of satisfied and successful students of all ages.
